She earned her M.Sc. from the University of Saskatchewan, and has most recently worked as a research technician in the Biology Department at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where she worked with industrial partners including ToeFX on testing treatments for onychomycosis and developing fungal diagnostic tests.
The ToeFx Light Therapy device is designed to be a safe and cost effective solution for the treatment of toenail fungus (onychomycosis). The solution is based on photodynamic therapy (PDT) technology, which includes light radiation and a photosensitizer.
